PTM, a peaceful human rights movement, aims to protect the fundamental rights of Pashtuns, who have faced years of discrimination, violence, and state-sponsored oppression.<\/p>\n<p>PTM is a peaceful human rights movement committed to advocating for the rights and dignity of the Pashtun people. For years, Pashtuns in Pakistan have endured state-sponsored violence, extrajudicial killings, enforced disappearances, and military occupation in their homeland. PTM calls for justice, peace, and accountability for these human rights violations.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #993300;\"><strong>Attacks on Manzoor Pashteen:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Manzoor Pashteen<\/strong>, the leader of PTM, has been the target of several state-led attacks and smear campaigns. The Pakistani government continues to use violence and intimidation to suppress the peaceful call for justice and accountability. Despite these attacks, Manzoor Pashteen remains committed to PTM&#8217;s cause, advocating for the protection and recognition of Pashtun rights.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #993300;\"><strong>Illegal Detention of Ali Wazir and Other PTM Activists:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>One of PTM&#8217;s most prominent figures, <strong>Ali Wazir<\/strong>, remains in illegal detention. Ali Wazir\u2019s imprisonment without due process is symbolic of the broader persecution faced by PTM activists, many of whom are unjustly detained by the Pakistani authorities. PTM Canada demands the immediate release of Ali Wazir and all other imprisoned PTM activists.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #993300;\"><strong>Attacks on the Pashtun National Jirga:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>The Pashtun National Jirga, scheduled for <strong>October 11<\/strong>, has also faced severe oppression from the state. Pakistani forces have raided the Jirga venue, burnt down the tents, harassed volunteers, and looted supplies in an effort to suppress the peaceful gathering. These actions are a direct attack on the rights of Pashtuns to assemble and address their grievances through peaceful dialogue.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #993300;\"><strong>PTM Canada\u2019s Call to Action:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>PTM Canada<\/strong> urges the international community, human rights organizations, and concerned citizens to stand in solidarity with PTM and denounce the Pakistani state&#8217;s repressive actions.
